Hello and thank you for visiting ! We are Adèle and Chelsey, longtime fans of Essie Davis, and here’s a little bit about us.
In 2015, Chelsey started the essiedavisdaily Tumblr page and ran it for a while with a few other people (shout-out to them, we love you !).
In 2016, Chelsey, Adèle, and four other fans (we dubbed ourselves the Essie Fan Squad haha) met up at the London Film Festival to attend the premiere of Mindhorn, starring Julian Barratt and Essie Davis. We were incredibly lucky to meet Essie then. She was lovely, stopped to take a few photos with us and sign autographs. After that Adèle jumped on board and started running the essiedavisdaily Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages with Chelsey.
On a more personal note, as the pages were growing, we began a long distance relationship (US-France. We apologize for our carbon footprint during this time). Since starting essiedavisdaily, we got married and are now happily living together in France.
We also were super lucky to meet Essie again in 2020 for the London premiere of True History of the Kelly Gang. And as we say in french “jamais deux sans trois”, our third meeting with Essie was in her hometown of Hobart, when we were visiting Tasmania during our honeymoon. It was a lovely full circle moment !
We run this website and our socials with a lot of heart and care. We aim to be as respectful as possible to Essie, her fans, and the people she works with. We do our best to stay on top of things and post regularly, but please keep in mind that real life and full time jobs sometimes get in the way.
